In the early 80's Molly Meldrum introduced Australia to Boy George and Culture Club via the TV show Countdown! Many of the British 80's bands were influenced by the care free image Boy George projected.  His flamboyant personality, colourful costumes and make-up were perceived as a bold statement for fashion and commercial pop.
Amazing success with many Number One Hits and a huge global cult following saw Boy George become an international phenomenon on the world dance and party circuit.
